About Us
Our Story
The inception of BEE Lab began in 2014, to integrate the passion, theoretical knowledge, expertise and resources available for indigenously developing innovative technologies for addressing the issues of environmental pollution, greenhouse gas mitigation and climate change. Over years, our focus has grown from the development of resilient technologies for waste management towards more sustainable options for resource recovery from wastes into usable energy and bio-based products through scale-up and commercialization.

Mission
BioEnergy and Environment (BEE) Laboratory aims to explore the bioprocess technologies to produce alternative renewable energy and bio-based products using natural resources to achieve greater environmental sustainability and economic security. The mission is to utilize biotechnological tools, applied science and interdisciplinary techniques to establish a strategic collaborative relationship with academia and industries for implementing environmental friendly techniques to intervene the food-water-energy nexus attaining societal benefits

The vision of BEE Lab is inspired by the idea to accomplish circular bio-based economy, deploying environmental friendly bioprocessing techniques to develop alternative energy, high value products/materials, components and societal services at par with the national/international standards in accordance to the sustainable development goals (SDGs).
